Building leaders to serve a world that’s waiting for transformational change.

The Doctor of Ministry program at Bethel Seminary strives to provide innovative education to equip transformational leaders. Our program guides students on a research journey to address the burning issues facing the church and the world, leading to social innovation on the ground.

At Bethel, we believe it’s imperative that Christian practitioners address these issues. We’re not interested in merely helping students put “doctor” in front of their name, but rather sending out leaders that bring lasting change to the world.

Since its start in 1975, the Doctor of Ministry program at Bethel has become one of the leading programs in the country with 150 students from around the world enrolled through 2 program tracks.

Program tracks:

  • Self-Directed Program: Students map out their own program within 2 primary tracks: Church Leadership and Congregation and Family Care. Through each track, students tailor the program to their individual passions and interests.
  • Cohort Program: Students engage in a specialized area of study over 3 years with a small group of their ministry peers.
