My favorite things about Bethel Seminary:
As Center Director of Bethel Seminary of the East, New England, I wear three hats: reaching out to potential students and helping them to discern more clearly a ministry calling (recruiting); teaching each new group of adults starting seminary the Intro to Spiritual Formation, as they each create and share a Life Map (teaching); and directing the activities and events of our learning community (leading).
My favorite New England sites:
Our Teaching Center, located in Auburn, MA, is at the geographical center of New England. My wife and I share ownership of a log cabin 4 hours from here, in the Adirondacks, we love to go for walks on our favorite beach in Hummarock, MA, at a family camping area owned by the Air Force (4th Cliff), and my wife and I enjoy a 3 mile walk most days around the hills and through the town common of Grafton- where John Elliot established one of his many praying Indian villages. The spiritual heritage and history of New England is also a big attraction for me.
Before working at Bethel:
Before taking the Center Director position at BSOE I served as Faculty Coordinator for the LEAD Program at Eastern Nazarene College, where I also taught as an adjunct faculty member. I served prior to that as Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Foxboro, MA. I also am an online instructor for the University of Phoenix, where I teach courses in Critical and Creative Thinking.
