Director of Admissions for the College of Adult & Professional Studies, Graduate School, and Bethel Seminary
B.A. in History, Bethel University; M.A. in Theological Studies, Bethel Seminary
My favorite things about Bethel Seminary:
The faculty and staff are among the best parts of Bethel Seminary. They want you to succeed in what you are called to do. I also love sitting on the seminary patio looking at the lake when it is not -10 degrees outside.
My favorite Twin Cities/Minnesota sites:
Lake Harriet, Mississippi River, The Independent, Manny's, Murray's, Lord Fletcher's, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Williams Arena, and most of all Chris & Rob's Chicago Style Eatery (formerly Joey D's).
Before working at Bethel:
Prior to this role, I served as the director of admissions and recruitment for Bethel Seminary for 6 years. Earlier during my career at Bethel Seminary, I was the associate director of recruitment for Bethel Seminary’s Leadership Vision initiative. I also served for 2 years during the 105th and 106th Congress as a legislative correspondent for former U.S. Senator Rod Grams in Washington, D.C., and was a youth ministry intern at a church in the Twin Cities.
I currently serve as a leadership and organizational consultant and enjoy working with students and organizations to help them maximize their effectiveness. I also coach volleyball, both collegiately for Hamline University and at the junior Olympic level for Minnesota Select. In my free time, I am an avid runner and skier—but most of all I enjoy hanging out with my wife Danielle and my son JD. I live in Minneapolis and enjoy the parks and trails the city has to offer.
