Maria is not shy about sharing her faith. She can recall countless stories of approaching complete strangers to tell her story. “I can sense those ‘God moments’,” she says, “Of sharing my faith in really unexpected places.”

Maria moved to Minnesota from her home in Long Island to complete her undergraduate degree, thinking she’d move back after graduation. But when that time came, she knew her academic journey was not over. A close friend told her about Bethel, and it was there she was able to further her education, honing in on her passions for community and social justice, through the Master of Arts in Theology program.
