Bethel Virtual Seminary

Types of Students

Fully Matriculated: A student who has satisfied all admissions requirements and is granted entry into the program.

Provisional: Once a student has 24 credits or less of M.Div. equivalency to complete, he or she is classified as a provisional student. This student may take any course work but must complete the equivalency requirements before receiving his or her D.Min. degree.

Probationary: A student whose grade point average is less than 3.0 for his or her graduate studies will be designated as a probationary student. This student has one year to demonstrate that he or she can successfully complete D.Min. level work as evidenced by a grade of at least a B on his or her projects. Once this is accomplished, the student will be removed from probationary status.

Prospective: Students who are trying to decide whether to pursue a D.Min. degree or are undecided about where they intend to pursue their degree may audit one course at a reduced rate. These students will not be required to do the post-course project and will be granted two quarter-hour credits for the course.

Part-Time Visiting: Students from other ATS-accredited D.Min programs may take up to two courses (12 credits; based on availability) that may be transferred into their current D.Min. programs.
