Jack and Judy Balswick

Jack and Judy Balswick

Jack and Judy Balswick are widely recognized for their work in the areas of covenant relationships and the theology of family. They share a passion for strengthening family life and for integrating psychology and theology.

Both have taught in the marriage and family program at Fuller Theological Seminary for the past 20 years, Judy as senior professor of marital and family therapy, and Jack as senior professor of sociology and family development. Judy is a licensed marriage and family therapist and conducts workshops on parenting, marriage, and relationship issues. Jack is a sociologist specializing in men’s issues, gender, child and family development, and marriage and family life.

The Balswicks have written numerous books as co-authors, including Relationship-Empowerment Parenting: Building Formative and Fulfilling Relationships with Your Children; The Two Paycheck Marriage; Authentic Human Sexuality: An Integrated Christian Approach; The Family: A Christian Perspective on the Contemporary Home; and Family Pain: Getting Through the Hurts of Family Life.
