Grants

Grants are a form of gift aid, meaning you don’t need to repay them. Scan through the list of grants available to Bethel Seminary students.

Bethel Grant

Amount: $200-$600 per quarter; $800-$2,400 per year.

Eligibility: Students must be taking at least 8 credits per quarter in a master’s level program. Need-based.

Renewal: Based on continued need.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

Bethel University Graduate Grant

Amount: 100% tuition for the third quarter of enrollment.

Eligibility: Graduates from the Bethel University College of Arts & Sciences or College of Adult & Professional Studies who begin seminary full time within one year of graduating. Third quarter tuition is free after successfully completing 2 quarters at full time status. Recipients are not eligible for other institutional aid during the free quarter.

Renewal: Non-renewable.

Campus Crusade Grant

Amount: 15% tuition reduction.

Eligibility: Current full time employees of Campus Crusade who enroll in a master’s level program. Recipients are not eligible for additional institutional aid. Full time enrollment is not required to receive this grant.

Renewal: Must reapply annually and maintain employment with Campus Crusade.

How to apply: Must identify yourself as a Campus Crusade employee on your Bethel Financial Aid Application.

Converge Worldwide Grant

Amount: $150 per quarter; $600 per year.

Eligibility: Students who are members of Converge Worldwide churches and are taking at least 8 credits per quarter in a master’s level program.

Renewal: Must reapply annually and maintain membership in Converge Worldwide church.

How to apply: Must identify yourself as a member on your Bethel Financial Aid Application.

InMinistry Travel Grant

Amount: Up to $1000 per year. Varies by location.

Renewal: Must apply and demonstrate need annually.

Eligibility: Full-time St. Paul and San Diego InMinistry students from the U.S. living 75 or more miles from campus. Grant is credited to student account during intensive quarters with enrollment of 8 credits. Need-based.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

International Student Grant

Amount: Varies.

Eligibility: Students selected by the Office of Admissions and Recruitment who enroll in residential programs in St. Paul, Minn.

Renewal: Renewable each year.

How to apply: Please contact the Office of Admissions and Recruitment for appropriate applications.

Multicultural Grant

Amount: $400 per quarter; $1,600 per year.

Eligibility: Students of color taking at least 8 credits per quarter in a master’s level program at the St. Paul campus. Need-based.

Renewal: Must apply and demonstrate need annually.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

Spouse Tuition Grant

Amount: 50% tuition reduction on 1 course per quarter.

Eligibility: Spouse of student enrolled full time (8+ credits per term) in a master’s level program. Need-based. Recipients are not eligible for additional institutional aid. Students receiving this grant are not required to enroll full time.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

Minnesota GI Bill Program

Amount: Up to $1,000 per term for full-time students. Up to $500 per term for part-time students.

Renewal: Must apply each year. Lifetime maximum of $10,000.

Eligibility: Minnesota veterans and service members who served on or after September 11, 2001.

Academic requirements: Must be a student in good standing.

How to apply:

  1. Apply for financial aid at Bethel and complete your FAFSA.
  2. Complete the online Minnesota GI Bill Application.
  3. Tell us you’ve completed the application and provide a copy of your DD-214 by sending an email finaid@bethel.edu.
