Grants for 2013-2014

Grants are a form of gift aid, meaning you don’t need to repay them. Scan through the list of grants available to Bethel Seminary students (excludes Doctor of Ministry students).  New for 2013-2014: Bethel institutional gift aid applies to fall and spring semesters only.

Bethel Grant

Amount: Up to $600 per semester, $1,200 per year.

Eligibility: Students must be taking at least 6 credits per semester in a master’s level program. Need-based.

Renewal: Based on continued need.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

Campus Crusade Grant

Amount: 15% tuition reduction.

Eligibility: Current full-time employees of Campus Crusade who enroll in a master’s level program. Recipients are not eligible for additional institutional aid. Full-time enrollment is not required to receive this grant.

Renewal: Must reapply annually and maintain employment with Campus Crusade.

How to apply: Must identify yourself as a Campus Crusade employee on your Bethel Financial Aid Application.

InMinistry Travel Grant

Amount: Varies. Up to $500 per semester, $1000 per year.

Renewal: Must apply and demonstrate need annually.

Eligibility: Full-time InMinistry students from the U.S. living 75 miles or more from campus. Need-based.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

International Student Grant

Amount: Varies.

Eligibility: Students selected by the Office of Admissions and Recruitment who enroll in residential programs in St. Paul, Minn.

Renewal: Renewable up to two years.

How to apply: Please contact the Office of Admissions and Recruitment for appropriate applications.

Multicultural Grant

Amount: $500 per semester, $1,000 per year.

Eligibility: Students of color taking at least 6 credits per semester in a master’s level program at the St. Paul campus. Need-based.

Renewal: Must apply and demonstrate need annually.

How to apply: Automatically considered with your FAFSA and Bethel Financial Aid Application.

Minnesota GI Bill Program

Amount: Up to $1,000 per term for full-time students. Up to $500 per term for part-time students.

Renewal: Must apply each year. Lifetime maximum of $10,000.

Type: State program.

Eligibility: Minnesota veterans and service members who served on or after September 11, 2001.

Academic requirements: Must be a student in good standing.

How to apply:

  1. Apply for financial aid at Bethel and complete your FAFSA.
  2. Complete the online Minnesota GI Bill Application.
  3. Tell us you’ve completed the application and provide a copy of your DD-214 by sending an email finaid@bethel.edu.
