Organization: VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23) ACPE System Position: CPE Residencies and Internships Job Description: Beginning fall 2008 two Supervisory Education Students (SES) will begin observation and co-supervision of CPE programs in VISN 23. Students enrolling in internship and residency programs may be observed or co-supervised by SES under the supervision of ACPE supervisors. The VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23) ACPE System has openings for 2008 CPE Summer Internships in St. Cloud and Minneapolis, Minnesota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Programs begin Tuesday, May 27, 2008 and conclude either August 8 or August 15, 2008. No tuition of fees are charged. Interns are expected to provide clinical care with veterans as part of their commitment to the educational program. Also, residencies available from October 2008 - September 2009 in St. Cloud, Minnesota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The standard ACPE application is used. Organization: The Allina CPE Center, 800 East 28th Street, MC 16603, Minneapolis, MN 55407 Position: Fall 2008 CPE Openings Job Description: 16-week internship positions beginning September 2, 2008. The Allina CPE Center is now accepting applications for the Fall CPE Internship at three of our CPE sites: Abbott Northwestern, Minneapolis; St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee; Unity Hospital (Fridley) and Mercy Hospital (Coon Rapids). This program includes one unit of ACPE accredited clinical pastoral education. The internship programs offer introductory, specialized training in clinical pastoral care, emphasizing spiritual/theological integration, ethical reflection, and pastoral leadership. Interns experience clinical assignments that provide in-depth exposure to specialty areas, enabling each student to become an integral part of the health care team. Time commitment includes approximately 26 hours per week in the hospital and scheduled on call emergency coverage. However, we are accepting waitlist applicants. We are also planning on offering an extended CPE in Fall 2008. Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in the western suburb of St. Louis Park is offering summer CPE this year. A unique program of providing spiritual care in both the hospital and at clinic sites, combined with emergency on-call work, provides a rich educational experience. Organization: Fairview CPE Center in Minneapolis Position: CPE Job Description: Fairview CPE Center in Minneapolis has openings available for the Fall Semester unit at University of Minnesota Medical Center and at Ebenezer. This unit begins August 27 and continues through December 21. There are also openings at Fairview Southdale Hospital for the extended unit that begins October 15 and continues through May 2.
