Church: Union Baptist Church, 125 Sierra Ave, Rio Vista, CA 94571 Position: Senior Pastor Job Description: Lead Sunday morning worship and preach (expositional preaching with exegetical basis). Teach Wednesday evening Bible study. Care for pastoral needs of members: shepherding, discipling, leadership development, counseling and administrative oversight. Candidate Description: Strong Bible based expository preaching. Effective leadership development skills. Administrative capabilities. If there is background of web design and or web graphics this would be a plus. Background in music is also highly desirable. The senior pastor will have strong preaching and teaching skills and be able to mix with a wide age group from young marrieds to seniors. He will have an eye toward II Tim 2:2 multiplication and have the ability to develop lay leadership. Church: Hillside Baptist Church, 55238 Road 200 P.O. 706, North Fork, CA 93643 Position: Senior Pastor Job Description: Position: Senior (only) pastor in a small, rural, mountain church with a busy child care center. Position is part to full time in an established church with 30 year history, debt free. Three bedroom, 2 bath parsonage, newly decorated. Duties of the senior pastor: He shall: Develop plans and implement them for each Sunday morning worship service including the preparation of the weekly bulletin; Use whatever ability and expertise he may have in the area of music; Develop plans for outreach to the community; Relate to the children in the child care program as pastor; Engage in discipleship training as it is needed; Engage in pastoral counseling, within the limits of his expertise, with members and attenders when requested; Perform marriages and memorial services, bearing in mind the Biblical teaching regarding marriage and the afterlife; Have a close working relationship with those who work and teach at any level of Christian education; Be expected to teach periodically in one or the other of the two existing adult education classes; Attend and take part in the weekly prayer meeting; Teach membership classes as needed; Become familiar with the workings of the Baptist General Conference and the services it offers to the local churches and to support the stands it takes on theological issues; Devote all his professional time to his duties at Hillside unless arrangements are made and approved in advance with the elder board of Hillside.
