Organization: VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, San Diego, CA Position: CPE Internship PT Open To: Men and Women Job Description: VITAS' CPE programs offer experience-based theological education to seminarians, clergy and lay people of diverse faith traditions and cultures. We guide students in developing the skills and inner resources to provide compassionate spiritual care to hospice patients and their families. In San Diego, urban clinical placements include a mobile health clinic for the un- and under-insured, a children's residential program, an outreach program for vulnerable seniors, homeless shelters and hospitals. Candidate Description: For Units of CPE: An individual who, through a written application and an admissions interview, has demonstrated the ability to participate in CPE, usually one who has successfully completed at least one year of theological school.
