Position: Director of the Practice of Ministry and Mission
Job Description: Wesley seeks a Director of its contextual education program (Practice of Ministry and Mission) to begin no sooner than Jan. 1, 2009 and no later than July 1, 2009.  Rank open and determined by qualifications and experience.  Tenure track position.  The Director of PMM will be expected to work collegially with two assistant directors, faculty, experienced pastoral leaders, and student peer groups.  The Director will: Be skilled in working with and training mentors, supervisors and lay learning partners in congregations; Meet with and advise students regarding their ministry placements; Evidence knowledge and openness to developing trends in the church and its ministries; Demonstrate knowledge of United Methodist polity and ordination processes and work with candidates and judicatory leaders in other denominations; Display knowledge of trends, research, and practices in the field of education/ contextual education; Provide administrative leadership and oversight to the PMM program; Show commitment to the life of the church and its ministries; Work effectively in diverse communities; and Demonstrate personal qualities of collegiality, administrative skill, creativity, conflict management, ability to communicate.
Candidate Description: Qualifications include: M.Div. degree; Ph.D., Th.D. or Ed.D. preferred; Ordained with experience in pastoral leadership; Experience in contextual education; and Expertise and ability to teach in congregational leadership, practical theology, pastoral practice or related fields. Position: Mobilizer - Discipling for Development
Job Description: Purpose of position:  To discover and encourage individuals whom God is calling into missions service in Discipling for Development.  Responsible for:  Pro-actively mobilize, follow-up, encourage, facilitate, screen, and assess those interested in serving overseas in the discipleship/development ministry of the Navigators.  This includes being as thoroughly acquainted as possible with the opportunities, positions, teams and areas to which missionaries will be sent.  Also there will be responsibility for working alongside and networking with those generating leads through churches, organizations, and institutions.   The appropriate person will also being involved in the early assessment and orientation of potential missionaries.
Candidate Description: This person will need to have demonstrated good people skills and a good telephone presence which will be warm and endearing.   She or he should have an assertive tendency, yet be encouraging and have discernment in assessing people’s character.  This person will need self discipline and apply skills of computer use or willingness to learn and regularly use a variety of computer programs.  To have personal knowledge and experience in a discipling relationship would be a real asset.  Characteristics well suited to this position:  Team player; People person; Self starter; Assertive; Able to set priorities; Risk taker; Promoter; Energized by people; Capable of managing several contacts and tasks simultaneously; Pray and get results; Discipler.  A minimum of 40 hours per week will be necessary.  Some of the best work times which are evenings and weekends, will require some flexibility.

Position: Camp Administrator
Job Description: This position will require an individual with strong administrative skills that is passionate about fulfilling the mission and values of Fort Wilderness, an independent not for profit Christian camp serving over 8,000 people each year, located in Northern Wisconsin. Primary responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the day-to-day “in-camp” operations including programming, operations, and the relational activities of employees in those areas. The Camp Administrator will coordinate and administrate the camp operation under the leadership of the Executive Director, pursuant to the policies defined by the Board of Directors.
Candidate Description: Must be a Christian who is a team player. A business or management degree and experience in Christian camping, or another type of not-for-profit organization, are preferable. Additionally, several years of work experience where administrative skills have been developed and where customer service and interaction have been a priority, is also important. The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and creative in problem solving. Excellent communication and people skills are also necessary to assure that the Program and Operations teams are working in synch with the overall organization. Finally, a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel would be beneficial.

Position: Operations Team Leader
Job Description: Fort Wilderness is looking for someone to oversee the physical operations of camp.
