Position: Pastor or Leader of Worship & Prayer
Job Description: We are seeking a proven leader to join our staff as our Pastor or Leader of Worship and Prayer. This is a full time position. We are looking for a godly, young, outgoing man who has a passion for worship and who can lead worship both vocally (a strong singer among a cast of singers) and preferably instrumentally (guitar preferred). We desire someone who is an effective communicator with good stage presence, and who has the ability to connect with people individually as well as with the congregation as a whole. If he is not theologically trained, we will encourage him to acquire that training while on the job at our expense.  We are an 11 year old church of about 450 people located in one of the fastest growing communities in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the community of Urbana in Frederick County, MD. Position:  Pastoral Partner
Job Description:  This position will share in developing and growing a ministry to young families and singles through non-traditional worship, small groups and other creative interaction.  This individual will promote outreach through active and visible involvement in the life of the community.  As First Reformed Church continues to develop a missional form of ministry through an outward focus, seeking God's preferred future, this position will proceed from an understanding of, and zeal for, missional outreach to the community, especially young families and singles.  The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows: walk closely with God in ministry and personal life; share overall responsibility for planning and conducting worship services; assume primary responsibility for planning and leading non-traditional worship; lead the outreach ministry to young families and singles; plan and coordinate small-group ministry to young adults; assume or share responsibility for a ministry to men outside the congregation; as an involved member, share in other ministries of First Reformed Church; actively encourage discipleship as the responsibility of everyone in the congregation; develop one's gifts and skills through various forms of continuing education.
Candidate Description:  The individual who applies for this position must have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to Him, as demonstrated in one's personal and family life.  Ordination or commission in the Reformed Church in America or another denomination that shares its doctrine and world view.  Five or more years in ministry, with some experience in dealing with the issues of young families and individuals, and sensitivity to their special needs and concerns.  The ability to communicate, with a pastor's heart, God's love and grace to all.

Position: Worship Leader (part-time)
Job Description: This temporary part-time position (10-15 hours) will begin with a one-year contract, renewable upon review. The job may become permanent, and/or expand depending on the fit and the needs of the church. Compensation will begin at $250 a week. Primary Duty: Lead the church music ministry in blending historic and contemporary expressions of worship. Supervision: The music director is accountable to the Interim or Senior Pastor and supervises paid and volunteer musicians. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Work together with pastor to integrate all music components of Sunday morning services 2. Lead the praise team: recruiting, rehearsing (weekly) and developing lay people in their gifts 3. Maintain clear communication with the appropriate church staff and media team 4. Provide info for annual budget, and oversee maintenance of music library and instruments 5. Create or delegate PowerPoint slides for services (time-saving systems already in place).
Candidate Description: Qualifications 1. A vital and mature Christian commitment 2. A strong music background - with advanced capabilities on at least one lead instrument, plus vocals 3. A commitment to support the worship vision of the elders (see below) 4. The ability to recruit, train and work well with people of all ages.

Job Description: Calvary Memorial Church, located in Oak Park, IL, is looking for a full-time Pastor of Worship and Music, reporting directly to the Senior Pastor.  Calvary is a non-denominational, evangelical church with approximately 900 people attending three Sunday morning services, currently one traditional and two contemporary services. The primary responsibility of the Pastor of Worship and Music will be the worship life of Calvary.  He will work with the elders and the Senior Pastor to develop and implement a church-wide vision of worship, incorporating Calvary's rich history and keen desire to serve the Lord, the body of believers and the community.

Candidate Description: The Man: Overall this position is to be filled by a man who has a deep love for Jesus and His word. He must have a strong commitment to knowing and helping other know and understand God through His word. He must also understand that worship is much more than just singing at weekend services but that worship is to be the lifestyle of all believers. This man must have strong leadership, organizational, and pastoral skills, and be a people-oriented team builder. He must also have a working knowledge of technical aspects related to worship ministry (sound, lighting, video editing, worship software, media). This man must also have a strong singing ability, be proficient in either guitar or keyboard, and have a relaxed, natural stage presence. In addition this individual should be able to recruit and develop others to lead and contribute to the worship process, but above all they should be gifted and love leading the congregation into God's presence through music and other forms of worship.
