Pastoral Care of members and attendees (10% of time) - General encouragement and shepherding of the church through notes, E-mails, phone calls and visits - Occasionally visit the hospital, shut-ins, or those in need of encouragement - Occasionally preach, perform funerals, weddings and baptisms Candidate Description: General Expectations: - Meets the Scriptural requirements for an elder - Endorse and support Cornerstone's doctrine and church covenant - Has a devotional life with God (i.e. Scripture reading, prayer, etc.) - Attends staff meetings and retreats - Is at the church for all regular worship services - Is available to the congregation before and after services as duties allow - Maintains flexible working hours as determined by the needs of the ministry - Has a wife who supports the ministry through attendance and service - Submit an annual youth ministries budget to the elders Education: - The candidate should have at least a minimum of a BA in Student Ministry.
