Organization: Ramsey County Correctional Facilities, St. Paul, MN Position: Bible Study Teaching Internship Job Description: This position involves working with a strong core team to grow an existing Evangelistic Bible Study Ministry at Ramsey County Jail. We are expanding these Bible studies and adding five more instructors plus two more substitutes from an already existing seven active Bible Studies on Wednesday nights. Co-Bible Study Instructor will be assigned with a team of seasoned instructors in developing a lesson plans, hearing from the Lord, and assisting in leading “two” Bible study groups every Wednesday evening. Commitment is every Wednesday night for the duration of the agreed upon length of time one needs for their internship or apprenticeship. Candidate Description: Candidate must be able to relate the Bible and the Christian faith to a variety of ages and ethnic backgrounds in a fun and challenging way in order to nurture the spiritual growth of each inmate. Must complete full or partial requirements for community development, internship, or fellowship experience within a Christian College program. Must have knowledge of the Word of God and some form of preaching or teaching experience. Must maintain a neat, clean and professional leadership appearance. Must have skills of self starter, time management, creative thinker, and knows how to hear from the Holy Spirit within. Must have a good moral character and high degree of honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity. Must possess and demonstrate a positive attitude to inmates, supervisors, peers, and guards. Church: Hayden Heights Baptist Church, 1845 Hyacinth Ave. E., St. Paul, MN 55119 Position: Internship/Youth Ministry Position Job Description: We are looking for someone with a heart for working with youth from both inner city and "churched" environments. Our church of 150 or so has a youth group of 30-40 with a broad mix of kids from a variety of backgrounds. As I (the current youth pastor) am moving on to another position after 4 years, we are looking for someone to take a portion of the workload, with a willingness to teach on Wednesdays, help with events, hang out with kids, and assist other youth leaders who have been "in the business" for a few years. Responsibilities: Relationship building with neighborhood youth; Teaching Wednesday night lessons; Helping to coordinate and participate in youth events; Possibly teaching or helping with Sunday school. Candidate Description: Qualifications: A passionate heart for Christian and non-Christian youth alike; Working towards a youth ministry degree preferred; Willingness to take an "At-risk Children" training (up to 3-hrs); Application deadline: June 30th, 2008.
