Church: Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church 3355 4th Street North Minneapolis, MN 55412 Position: Senior Pastor Job Description: We are seeking a Pastor to lead a congregation that is devoted to and passionate about following Christ. FMBC is 15 years old and had experienced tremendous growth to its current membership of 800. The membership is predominantly African American and diverse in terms of age, socioeconomic status and gender. Consideration for the position includes a God-called individual who is vibrant, has an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for all people. Church: Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 Position: New Church Planting Pastor Job Description: Wooddale Church, a large, outreaching evangelical church located in a growing Minneapolis suburb is seeking a New Church Pastor to plant a new daughter church in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and serve as its pastor. The New Church Pastor is responsible for providing direction and impetus in the planting of a new Wooddale daughter church as well as serving as this church's pastor. This includes leadership, preaching, equipping and evangelism, as well as teaching church planting strategies to others. Church: First Baptist Church in Glenwood, MN Position: Interim Pastor Job Description: Our church has a faithful core of 60 to 80 people who attend very regularly – and includes a mix of grey haired ladies and 18 month old babies, and everything in between (except college students ;>). We love Jesus, and are hungry for clear preaching of the Word. Ours is actually a fun-loving and sociable church. Candidates should expect to O.D. on PotLuck, be included in the "Pie in the Face" night at AWANA, and dress up as a camel for VBS. May also lead Adult Sunday School. We are interested in having this person come aboard and perform all (well nearly all) the duties of a senior pastor. He will need to be spending time in sermon prep, visitation, youth work, AWANA, VBS etc. He may even have to empty the garbage in his office on occasion. Candidates should expect to visit our people in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living places. Unless the candidate has exceptional qualifications, we would ask him to refer all but the most elementary counseling to a more experienced pastor or Christian counselor. Candidate Description: Our church is looking for a Seminary graduate (or someone who has most of their work done for graduation) to come and minister to us as an interim pastor. His service to us as an interim will in no way be a stumbling block to calling him as a pastor at a future date. We have purchased a house next door which we used as a Christian Education building in happier days, but the housekeeping committee has assured me that it could be made suitable for lodging a pastor with a mercifully small family for a short term.
