Church: Pine City Free Church, Pine City MN Position: Senior Pastor Job Description: The Senior Pastor is responsible for proclaiming God’s Word at church services and shall consider the pulpit ministry his highest priority. He shall spend the necessary time in study and prayer to preach with accuracy, in a manner easily understood, with the goal of compelling listeners to action. He will work regularly with the Elder Board to identify ministry priorities which will move the church closer to our vision and mission. The Senior Pastor’s leadership responsibility will be that of motivating staff and key ministry volunteers in their ministries. As a shepherd, the Senior Pastor will lead by instruction, prayer and godly example. He is responsible to ensure that the spiritual needs of the congregation can be provided for through various ministries of Pine City. In conjunction with staff, elders, and deacons, he will ensure that spiritual care is provided for to those who are in personal crisis and he will oversee the pastoral functions of administering the Lord’s Supper, baptisms, weddings, funerals and child dedications. Church: Woodale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 Position: New Church Planting Pastor Job Description: The New Church Pastor is responsible for providing direction and impetus in the planting of a new Wooddale daughter church in the metropolitan Twin Cities area, as well as serving as this church's pastor. This includes leadership, preaching, equipping and evangelism, as well as teaching church planting strategies to others. 1. Initiate the planting of a new church and serve as its pastor. 2. Inculcate the vision, values, strategies and contemporary style of Wooddale Church into the structure and life of the new church. 3. Recruit and train lay people to provide leadership in starting the new church. 4. Mobilize attendees for outreach and evangelism, and develop the church's programs from an outreach perspective. 5. Participate in Wooddale Church pastoral staff meetings and other pastoral staff duties as assigned until the new church is established and such participation is no longer deemed necessary. Candidate Description: A Bachelor's degree and divinity degree are required. Five years experience in pastoral ministry with experience in preaching and leadership as well as experience in and/or aptitude for church planting. Ability to design/carry out the planting of a new church, to articulate a philosophy ad strategy for church planting, to practice and model evangelism, and to function well as a pastor. Church: Minnewashta Church, 26710 W. 62nd Street, Shorewood, MN 55331 Position: Internships Job Description: Minnewashta Church is part of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. There are about 70 adults involved in our congregation. We have a number of internships available for students who are looking for credit or would like to work with a church to gain experience. The different interns we are looking for are: 1.) Youth Intern – a student to work with our Youth Director and work on building the Senior High Youth Group, possibly being the group coordinator. 2.) Education/Children's Ministry Intern – a student who can take charge of this ministry, developing Sunday School, Pioneer Club, etc. 4.) Worship Intern – a student who might take charge and help give direction in our worship services. 5.) General Intern – a student willing to work with the senior pastor on things like Sunday morning Bible Study, church growth, and possibly even preach once every couple of months.
