Position: Children's Ministry Summer Intern (part-time)

Job Description: Ideal for anyone who loves Jesus and loves kids, this internship will give you hands-on experience working with a dynamic children's ministry team. As an intern, you will get a behind-the-scenes look into curriculum and ministry development as well as the fulfillment of up front teaching and ministering to kids.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate as a member of the Children's Ministry (CM) Team

• Attend weekly CM Team meetings
• Read one book about children's ministry and discuss with CM Team

2. Support the planning and implementation of Camp Pyro

• Recruit and support counselors
• Train counselors at the counselor retreat
• Plan camp programming
• Organize camp supplies
• Serve as program staff for camp

3. Support other summer programming for children

• Teach children, preschool and elementary, in both large and small group settings
• Participate in planning and implementation of summer programming
• Support fall programming preparation

Expectations for this paid internship include twelve weeks of service in the summer (approximately 25 hour per week, including one evening per week) and full participation at our sleep-away camp for kids entering 4th-6th grade, Camp Pyro, August 12-17.
Candidate Description:

• High school graduate, pursuing higher education
• Some experience volunteering in a ministry context
• Has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to serve the Body of Christ by ministering to children and their families
• Dependable, loving and friendly person who relates well with children and adults
