Position: YouthWorks Summer Missions: Site Director

Job Description: YouthWorks is a non-profit, multi-denominational youth missions organization that has been running short-term summer mission trips for teenagers since 1994. We are based in Minneapolis and have 76 sites throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Post-college and college age staff are needed to lead these sites. Spend a summer living in a diverse community. Facilitate mission trips for 65 students and adults that come each week ready to serve. Experience life change.
Site Director Position: Experience authentic leadership. Mentor and supervise 3-4 Site Coordinators. Assist them with daily service and ministry projects. Manage finances with integrity and maintain the overall spiritual focus of the mission site. Provide leadership for adult leaders and help them process their mission week as they experience it alongside their youth. Develop lifelong friendships with community members and be changed by their love.   
Candidate Description: Site Directors must be of a post-college age, have previous leadership experience and the ability to manage a team.

Position: Children's Ministry Summer Intern
Open To: Men and Women
Job Description: The Children's Ministry Summer Intern works under the direction of the Children's Pastor to coordinate and lead ministry events and camps, establish relationships with children and parents, and equip and train volunteers. The intern should be available fulltime for 12 weeks beginning sometime in May.

  • Prepare for and participate in 4-5 summer camps (VBS, Sports Camp, 5th/6th retreat, etc.)
  • Sunday mornings
  • Some Wednesday evenings
  • Curriculum development/design
  • Shadowing opportunities
  • Helping to plan for fall
  • Staff meetings and planning
  • 40 hours/week, including Sunday mornings and many Wednesdays

Candidate Description: Either an upper class college student pursuing a career in Children's Ministry or a graduate student preparing for a career in vocational ministry.
