Position: Associate Pastor

Job Description: Ministry Requirements:

  1. Worship: (experience does not need to be from full-time employment)

    1. A minimum of 2-3 years experience in leading and organizing worship, proficiency in keyboard or guitar.
    2. Will direct all weekly rehearsals and activities to facilitate worship in the services, with both youth and adults.
    3. A workable knowledge of hymns and contemporary music.

  2. Youth:

    1. Prepare and deliver Wednesday night messages for the youth.
    2. Facilitate youth Small Groups.
    3. Train and disciple Student Leaders.
    4. Organize and attend annual youth activities (MN Youth Convention, Valleyfair, Camps, etc.)
    5. Organize and lead Youth Mission Trips.
    6. Coordinate with Roseau Area Youth Leaders (an ecumenical group) in community wide outreach and fellowship events 

Candidate Description: Qualifications:

  1. Spiritual:

    1. Must have a confirmed calling* to long-term youth ministry and a heart to lead people in worship.
    2. Must have character references, relating to their spiritual quality and disciplines.

  2. Educational Requirements:

    1. 2-year minimum: preferably a 4-year degree in Biblical Studies or Youth Ministry.
    2. A music minor is an asset, but not required.

  3. Transportation Requirements:

    1. Must have a clean driving record.
    2. Position requires a bus license, either previously passed or can be attained after hiring.

  3. Associate Pastor will meet regularly with the Senior Pastor to report on ministry progress, discuss problems, work through issues, and pray.

Position: Director of Worship Ministry, Director of Jr./Sr. High Youth Ministry

Job Description: Cornerstone was planted in 2003 and meets in the Blaine High School Auditorium in Blaine, MN.  We are a spiritually healthy EFCA church with incredibly strong relationships and a love for invitation and outreach.  Our church is filled with a love for Jesus and each other.  Cornerstone is a special place, and we seek to communicate that to others.  More can be found at the website below.
Responsibilities of the position:

Worship (around 15 hours)

  • Meet with Pastor to receive and execute worship service vision and direction.
  • Volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate set up of sound equipment and stage, as well as take-down.

  • Worship Leadership

    • Select songs and determine flow of music
    • Direct practices and Sunday morning worship.
  • Oversight of ministry budget.

Youth (around 25 hours)

  • Meet with Pastor/Elder to communicate vision and direction of ministry.
  • Volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and relationship.
  • Help develop and implement strategies to reach unchurched youth
  • Help develop and implement strategies to disciple Christian youth
  • Oversight of ministry budget. 

Candidate Description: Qualifications:

  • Musically gifted and trained.
  • Gifted to evangelize and disciple middle school and high school youth.
  • Degree in an area of ministry or music, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to oversee contemporary worship ministry of the church and supporting technology.
  • Ability to oversee ministry to middle school and high school youth.
  • Experience incorporating volunteer musicians into worship ministry, and volunteer leaders into youth ministry preferred.
  • Willing to support the church constitution, statement of faith, and policies and become a member.
  • A love of Jesus Christ and the people of Cornerstone Church.

Job Description: Bethel Baptist Church, located about 20 minutes from Bethel Seminary, is looking for a worship team leader. This position would be volunteer/intern.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate our Worship Team members to lead our church in Sunday morning worship music
  • Approximately 8-10 hours per week time commitment
  • Travel expenses provided (travel distance is about 15 miles from Bethel campus)

Resources

  • Willing singers – the current available number of participants varies from 5-10 per Sunday
