Dr. Minoa Chang earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology - San Diego/Alliant International University. She works with individuals who are diagnosed with depression, anxiety disorders, and other chronic mental illnesses, as well as individuals dealing with grief/bereavement, religious/spiritual, and cultural/acculturation issues, as well as grief/bereavement. Dr. Chang has experience performing psychological evaluations ("testing") of children and adults. She also offers her services in Spanish and in Portuguese.
Dr. Chang has been a therapist since the mid-1990s, working mainly with adults, but also with minors, couples,
groups and families. She teaches
graduate psychology and [delete] counseling courses in marriage and family therapy master
programs and in psychology doctoral programs. Dr. Chang is a frequent guest
lecturer/speaker in community settings, professional settings, and in
churches. She travels abroad to
teach/train pastors and lay or professional counselors on matters related to
counseling, psychology, and healing ministry, and is interested on the mental
health aspects of short- and long-term missionary work. Prior to
moving to the USA, Dr. Chang practiced Medicine in Brazil.
