Job Description:
Thessalonika Family Services, a non-profit agency, is located in Temecula and provides residential treatment for children who have been removed from their families as a result of abuse and neglect. In each of our group homes we provid a surrogate family environment which addresses children's basic needs, provides critical emotional support, models heatlhy and caring dynamics, and exposes children to experiences at home and in the community that encourage personal growth.
The MFT Intern/Social Worker is responsible for directing the individual needs and services plan for each child on their case load. The individual hired into this position will provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to their assigned group home personnel regarding milieu dynamics as well as coordination of all children's services to include recreation, medication, physical and health needs, school, family, and personal dynamics that include behavioral and clinical goals. The MFT Intern/Social Worker will provide weekly group and individual therapy to the 6 clients on their case-load as part of a comprehensive therapeutic response designed to successfully address and help the children overcome the affects of trauma and abuse to which they have been exposed.
This position provides the candidate a broad base of field-related experience and training as well as the opportunity to accrue and receive free on-site supervision from a licensed MFT for the 3,000 hours they will need to complete prior to licensure.
