Subversive Truth:

The Biblical Case for the Full Equality of Women and Men

This course is based on the contents of Scorgie’s recent book The Journey Back to Eden. The thesis of the course is that the Holy Spirit is nudging the people of God today toward a fuller embrace of the gospel vision of gender equality, freedom, and mutuality.

Utilizing a redemptive movement hermeneutic, the course invites participants to see the biblical landscape through new eyes. To assist in such reappraisal, the course traces across the pages of Scripture and through the annals of history the trajectory of the Spirit as He slowly but surely brings the church back to the personal wholeness and relational harmony that have eluded men and women since the Fall.

LAOS events take place in the Bethel Seminary Chapel. Admission is $50 for individuals; $75 for married couples. (Admission is waived for Bethel Seminary students; $10 for other students with ID.) For more information, email laos-sandiego@bethel.edu.
