Seminary students in discussion.

We know you’re busy and need flexibility as you work toward your seminary degree, but at Bethel this doesn’t mean you can’t also enjoy the benefits of deep community. Sem Together is a flexible cohort system that gives you the opportunity to consistently take classes with the same students, building authentic relationships and enjoying richer learning experiences.

How it Works

  • You will take courses with a consistent group of peers who are starting Bethel Seminary at the same time as you and within the same program as you.
  • You will still choose elective courses that most interest you. You and your cohort members will take these electives at the same time. Then, when the next term begins you’ll come back together for program-specific courses.
  •  Sem Together is available no matter what your delivery option is.
  • There’s no special application to participate.
  • You will never be locked in to your cohort or delivery option; you can easily switch to whatever course options best fit your life, schedule, and preferences.

Benefits of Sem Together

  • You’ll have a chance to forge deeper connection with your cohort students as you work through your program on the same timeline.
  • You’ll engage in meaningful discussions and interactions as you and your cohort students bring what you’ve learned in your elective courses back to the cohort.
  • For face-to-face classes, cohort students will meet in person at Bethel’s Anderson Center on a weeknight evening, creating opportunities for community worship experiences and large group connections.
